How to Create a Theme With a CSS Template and Dreamweaver

In this four part series we show you how to create a zed eCommerce theme from a CSS template using Dreamweaver.

Part 1 - Introducing the tools and steps necessary to complete this task and create a theme. Identifying how the layout of the template works with the common.master file.

Part 2 - Identifying sections within the html source that can be incorporated into slots and using its div id's and classes within common.master. Also how to upload images to the website using the media browser.

Part 3 - Continuing on and finishing up with integrating the div containers into common.master and how the common.master integrates with theme slots and their contents.

Part 4 - In part four we get the theme positioned correctly and spend time explaining the benefits of the web developer toolbar and Firebug. Also shown is how Chrome has tools to measure performance, and Internet Explorer compatibility modes.
